This is absolutely sickening.

More details were released in regards to Nicki Minaj‘s brother Jelani Maraj‘s child rape case, and things are not looking too good for the defendant. The 37-year-old man is being charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct against a preteen — a 12-year-old girl — and, according to the latest reports, there’s more than a billion to one chance he’s the culprit.

Assistant District Attorney Anthony Pirri issued a statement, saying, “A DNA profile, a partial profile matching the defendant or consistent with the defendant, your honor, to the point in the hundreds of billionths of chance of it being any other individual, was discovered in the… pants of the complainant in this case, and also tested positive indicating the presence of semen.”

The young victim claimed that Jelani repeatedly raped and sodomized her in between April 1 and November 30, 2015. He was arrested the day after the last alleged criminal act, but his famous rapper sister paid $100,000 to bail him out. He reportedly faces a possible 25-year prison sentence, but the ADA has offered him a deal of 15 years to life.

Abuse of any sort — emotional, domestic, sexual — is not okay! These stars know all too well:

Debby Ryan

Disney Channel star Debby Ryan seemed to have it all: A hit show, a budding music career and thousands of adoring fans. But, like many others, she was facing demons behind closed doors that no one was aware of. The 22 year old revealed:

"Love is freaking hard, and fighting for a relationship is so much work and can be so beautiful, and if you’re going to fight so hard for something that does not make you stronger and better and build you up, something’s wrong…I got to a point of being grabbed, being locked out of rooms, being screamed at, having things thrown at me, cussed at, begged for forgiveness, cried to, all while trying to keep it together and justifying this relationship. And that was the point that I realized maybe there was a red flag...I’m very fortunate because I had people help me get this person out of my life, out of my house — like physically lock the door.”

The actress is now working closely with Mary Kay and Loveisrespect for the Don’t Look Away campaign where she's "raising awareness and hoping to end abuse in dating relationships, especially with young teens and young people.”

Sarah Hyland

The entire world was shocked when Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland got a restraining order against then-boyfriend Matt Prokop last September after he physically and emotionally abused her so much that she was left "in fear for [her] life." Although the 25 year old has remained pretty quiet about the matter and wants to move on from the scary time, she did open up on The Meredith Vieira Show about a month after the legal documents were filed.

“There are two quotes that I want to say. One is a Dylan Thomas poem: ‘Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light,’ which is one of my favorite poems. It just strikes a chord in me. And then also Robert Frost: ‘The only way out is through.' People have to go through things in order to become the person they are today, and that’s that."

Rihanna

When Rihanna's then-boyfriend Chris Brown left her bruised and bloody after assaulting her in a car in 2009, shockwaves were sent across the world; domestic abuse could happen any time, anywhere. Months after Chris was arrested for the incident, the "B**** Better Have My Money" singer felt that she was ready to discuss what happened.

Rihanna revealed to Diane Sawyer that her father had abused her dad and she said she'd 'never' date someone like him. So, when CB punched her and choked her, she kept thinking, "’when is it going to stop?" While the violence was disgusting, Rih said she happy it happened to her. "Now I can help young girls. [I would tell them] ’Don’t react off of love.’ Come out of the situation and look at it third-person and for what it really is. And then make your decision. ’Cause love is so blind. It’s so blind.”

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian's entire life has been on display to the public for years, but one thing that many people forget is her first marriage. When she was just 19 years old, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star wed music producer Damon Thomas and divorced three years later due to repeated domestic abuse. In the court documents that weren't revealed until 2010, Kim detailed the horrors that she had to endure.

"Before we left our home, Damon hit me in the face and cut my lip open. I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard. I was limping when we went skydiving...[on another occasion] he threw me across the room and I hit my head against the front door. I got up and ran out of the house. I was frightened."

Kim said she thought about calling the police many times but was "afraid and decided not to do so."

Jennifer Lopez

Domestic violence is not always physical, but is still just as serious and disgusting. Jennifer Lopez revealed in her memoir True Love that she had been emotionally abused in the past.

"I've never gotten a black eye or busted lip, but I have been in relationships where I felt abused one way or another: mentally, emotionally, verbally," she wrote. "I know what it feels like for your soul to be diminished by the way your loved one is treating you."

Halle Berry

The Oscar-winning actress grew up witnessing an abusive relationship in which her father frequently attack her mother and, unfortunately, felt the effects of domestic violence herself. Inspired by the movie Precious, Halle shared her story at The Mayors Fund Benefit in NYC.

"I devalued myself and thought I wasn’t worth it. I chose partners that mimicked my father. It was only when I was in an abusive relationship and blood squirted on the ceiling of my apartment and I lost 80 percent of my hearing in my ear that I realized, I have to break the cycle... I never had to run to a shelter, but I did choose the wrong partners. Not always good men. Luckily, in recent years, I have been smart enough to hit the door when violence even becomes a possibility. That is something I will not tolerate.”

Mariah Carey

Ms. Carey was also inspired by Precious to open up about the domestic abuse she faced in the past.

"Abuse has several categories, emotionally, mentally, in other ways,” she said on Larry King Live in 2009. "I just think you get into a situation, and you feel locked in — if your situation is similar to one of the situations I’ve been in, which I won’t harp on...For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing, where the person was in control of my life.”

Although the songstress didn't reveal who exactly she was talking about, many speculate that she was referring to her ex-husband Tommy Mottola, who was also the head of her record label.
